I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Waitrose (Londres, Angleterre) in Feb 2015
Interview
Do an online questionnaire and if succesful, do the situational judgement test. After i passd that i had to wait until i saw another screen which asked some basic questions. I was then called in for an interview. When i got there there was two other prospects there and we were then caled to go into a room with the store manager. we had to do a group excersise wherehad to pick the most appropriate items for a shopper and also another one where we had to deal with a mystery customer. After that we had to wait for another deputy manager who walked us around the store whilst conversating with us and asking stuff like your favourite super hero etc it was quite informal. We were then told to go and to wait for a call back. I got the call the next day (saturday) and was offered a contract and asked my uniform sizes etc. This interview wasnt like the other ones i had at waitrose (been to two before) as in the others wernt as straight forward. This process literally too 5 days werever other interviews have been dragged out to nearly a month so i guess it depends on the waitrose you apply for.

Interview
The interview process was okay. They asked basic questions, but it felt a bit rushed. I was left waiting for 30mins before being seen even though the shop was very quiet.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time when you provided excellent customer service.
The interview process was well organised and professionally managed. Communication from the recruitment team was clear throughout each stage, and I was kept informed about timelines and expectations.
The interview itself was structured and allowed enough time to discuss my experience, skills, and suitability for the role. The interviewers were friendly and created a comfortable environment, which made it easier to have an open and productive conversation. They asked relevant questions about my background, problem-solving approach, and how I would contribute to the team.

Interview
My online interview on Google Meet with the Head of Recruitment went well. We covered my background skills and motivations, then transitioned into a series of hypothetical scenarios related to the day-to-day responsibilities of the position.
