Was given the standard uber test prior to a first phone screen with the recruiter. The screen test was of moderate difficulty. I was informed I excelled at it and was followed with a phone screen. During the phone screen, the recruiter seemed very disconnected and in an absolute hurry like they just wanted to get done with another formality, What was supposed to be an hour long conversation was wrapped in less than 10 minutes with no room left for me to any questions about the job/company. They rushed through the job description with me and that was that!!!
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Uber
Interview
The interview process took a week.
It started great with very professional and kind HR screen call. It continued with an analytical test, which I easily passed.
Unfortunately the video-call with the Hiring Manager was not positive. The manager seemed tired (he yawned many time and I could not believe it!) and disengaged. His questions were too simple.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Uber (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2018
Interview
1. Phone screen with recruiter (20min, basic stuff)
2. Analytics exercise online (really just some basic excel stuff)
3. Video call with hiring manager (45min with a case question and behavioral stuff)
4. Take home presentation/exercise
5. Onsite (met with 8 people from the team in groups of 2, presented to 1 group, case questions in another, behavioral in the other, last pair was reserved for me to ask questions which was nice)
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Typical behavioral stuff (eg. tell me about a time you had a conflict/disagreement at work, strengths/weaknesses, tell me about a time you handled ambiguity)
Case Questions
- ETAs went up in city X, what might have happened?
- Is trips fall in city X, what data would you look at and why?
- How would you incentivize drivers to drive during busy hours?
