Got through to the task presentation, where I answered their brief within the bounds of what was specified. When I presented it, one of the interviewers told me my response was 'not good' and wanted to 'know why it was bad'. I responded that it wasn't what I would have recommended, but the brief was clear that I needed to response within specific parameters - to which they said 'don't stick to the script'. Felt like a real lose-lose situation where if I hadn't 'stuck to the script' the feedback would have been this goes off brief. It was obvious I wasn't going to get the position, don't know if it was necessary to be so blunt in the feedback.
