I applied online. I interviewed at Uber in Mar 2026
Interview
There were seven interviews in total: recruiter, hiring manager, panel presentation, four xfn. The interview questions were fairly standard and everyone was polite and professional. However, there didn't seem to be a well-defined set of questions, nor did interviewers seem to have a clear sense of what they are evaluating. The position had been open for 7 months. They repeatedly stated they are taking their time to find the right person. My recruiter left the company suddenly mid-process and the new recruiter ghosted me when I asked for feedback.

Question 1
Describe a situation where you had to align senior stakeholders around a creative direction they were initially resistant to. How did you build that consensus?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uber (San Diego, CA) in Jul 2021
Interview
Started with an executive recruiter reaching out to me via email. We followed that with a conversation on the phone. Pleasant conversation, really just talking about the position and what I was looking for. Followed that up with a phone call with a second recruiter, who didn't have a lot of additional information. I then spoke with a manager on the design team who shared a lot more detail about the role, team, and company vision. In the end, I decided it wasn't a good fit.
