A long process that will be dramatic at times. At first, I had a Skype call with the Recruiter for my area for some initial screening. Right after, I was given the analytics test, which is pretty easy if you know your way around excel and did data-intensive work before (consultants and investment bankers would easily ace this). Then I was led to the launcher for the country, which I had multiple interviews with, and basically I was expected to bounce off ideas to lead to my business plan with the launcher. The next step was the creative test, which is IMO harder than what other people say. After a few other interviews with the launcher, the last step was to give a city presentation, which I was supposed to come up with a draft in two weeks, then sit down with the launcher to create a final version and finally present to the Regional GM, and Global Business Development head.
This is where it got weird, as I turned up with the draft about a week later (rather than two weeks later, so I was early). Then dead silence. About a month later I got an email from the recruiter that they would not be continuing the process with me. I asked for feedback multiple times, with no response.
I truly believe Uber is making a difference in the world, and there are extremely smart people who work at Uber that made the company what it is (a disrupter). However, the interviewing process left a sour taste in my mouth.
