Unless you have a high risk issue the process is fairly smooth. Recruiters do lie ! Even when they claim to be telling you the truth. Do your research and ask military veterans about their experience.

Lots of background checks, drug testing. They wanted to know any medical concerns, which could potentially impact your enlistment. The entire process was simple, just very time consuming- have patience with the process.
