I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at US Navy (Louisville, KY)
Interview
Me: Hello I'm hoping to get into the IT field and my scores are high enough.
MEPS Recruiter: Well IT isn't available but we do have this other rate. (Should have came back later)
Recruiter before I get to MEPS: Hey just pick a rate and I'll get it changed before you join.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Would you want to try ABH since nothing else is there. (Has ASVAB score 70)
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Navy (Louisville, KY) in Jan 2013
Interview
N/A. There is no interview process. The Navy has a zero tolerance drug policy. You get drug tested and they'll do a criminal background check. Unless you have a high risk issue the process is fairly smooth. Recruiters do lie ! Even when they claim to be telling you the truth. Do your research and ask military veterans about their experience.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at US Navy (Brea, CA) in Sep 2013
Interview
Lots of background checks, drug testing. They wanted to know any medical concerns, which could potentially impact your enlistment. The entire process was simple, just very time consuming- have patience with the process.
