I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Air Force (Jackson, MS) in May 2013
Interview
There was no interview process. Just go to MEPs and sign up. Must take the ASVAB and score really high if you want a good job. It is very difficult to select your job nowadays, but give it a shot. You may surprise yourself with what job you end up with. Study hard for the ASVAB and you should be golden. A lot of people do not try hard on the ASVAB but do not be like those other people. The interview process was really easy actually. You talk to the recruiter in your area and take the practice ASVAB. If you score high enough, you move on to go to MEPS. If not, you have to study for about a month before the recruiter will allow you to take the ASVAB.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
You go to MEPS and they ask you a series of health questions and you take the ASVAB.
You have to pass a test written on an 8th-grade level and a physical exam. Try not to weigh too much or too little. After you get in that doesn't matter anymore.

Question 1
Can you run a mile and a half in less than 20 minutes?
Making it to E-4 was a very exhausting process that took about 3 years of sitting around and waiting. If you wait long enough they just give it to you.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at US Air Force
Interview
The interview was very easy. It was more of a show up with your information and they will process you into the system. The hardest part was finding a time to track down and sit with a recruiter.
