I applied online. I interviewed at TikTok (New York, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
Quite unprofessional. I haven’t even received feedback on my project submission then been ghosted for two weeks after that until I heard no as an answer which was quite disappointing. After 4 interviews, you should be able to inform a candidate more gracefully than just a templates rejection email.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TikTok in Nov 2023
Interview
had a nice call with the recruiter but did not hear them from even though I sent a follow-up. I did not have a great experience regarding the hiring process. They can improve it.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TikTok (São Paulo, ) in Feb 2021
Interview
The interview is 5 rounds, 1st with HR, Team Mate, Test to submit in 48h, then 2 more interviews with Team Mate and Hiring Manager.
It's like a mini-Google interview. All interviews will be noted down. They arranged interviewer based on your experience and based on notes from previous interviewers. All will be judges by a Hiring Committee.
I had mixed opinions on their interviewers. TikTok claimed that they do not want candidate to disclose information from current or prior employer but it's not always true. I'm working for a big brand (which is their targeted client). And the first interviewer respect that by not asking too details about the brand by giving me hypothetical questions.
It's getting worse moving closer to other rounds. Interviewers start to investigate deeply about the brand I'm working on. I start to feel they just want to vest information without genuine interest in bringing me in the team. I felt super uncomfortable with the questions and the way they explore it (cos I still have all the NDA with current company) so I ended the final interview with no questions to ask the interviewer. At this stage, I don't feel like I want to work with them anymore.
