I applied through LinkedIn and was contacted within a week or so for a phone screening. The person was 5 minutes late and then cancelled our call, only to disappear for several days before emailing me at 10pm for a call the following day.
When we finally had the call, they were unprepared and unprofessional, only asking a few very basic questions and providing no introduction to the role or the process. They seemed thrown off by my very typical questions (“How would you describe the culture at TikTok?”) which made it so that I was essentially carrying the conversation. When asked why I was interested in the role, I described how the position and TikTok fit in with my longterm (7-8 years) goals, and was rudely challenged with “Well then are you even interested in this job?” Surprisingly, I was promptly scheduled to speak with the hiring manager.
The interview with the hiring manager was better— they were a little late but apologized and were overall pleasant to speak with. Questions were fairly straightforward and I felt confident that it went well. I was sent a cookie-cutter rejection email with no feedback 2 days later.

Interview
Quick result after each round ( next day) - 1 call with HR, 1 with line manager ,2 more rounds with regional head. Smooth process overall, interviewer was friendly and ask general questions about relevant experience
Probably the worst initial call I've ever had with a company. They were completely unprepared and asked me about experience that was not part of my resume or on the job description. Terrible first impression
