Home Depot's interview process begins with an online application, followed by a phone or in-person interview focused on customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving. Candidates may be asked scenario-based questions to assess their ability to handle workplace challenges, assist customers, and resolve conflicts. If selected, they must pass a pre-employment drug test before receiving a job offer. New hires then attend mandatory orientation and training sessions to learn company policies and job expectations. Home Depot values strong communication skills, adaptability, and a customer-first mindset throughout the hiring process
The interview process was smooth and well-structured. The questions were relevant and easy to understand, making the experience comfortable. The assessments were great, allowing me to showcase my skills effectively. The overall process was professional and efficient.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Atlanta, GA) in Jul 2024
Interview
The process took over 4 months. It was incredibly slow. After meeting with 8 different people they didn’t give me updates - I had to continuously follow up for a status update - they knew I had another offer and yet they they kept telling me I was in the running. I by chance saw the role reposted as another title but same role. They knew I had another offer and strung me along. Never updated me until I reached out.
