Question 1
As an external candidate the question we spent the most time on was "What do you see as your biggest challenge if offered the position?"
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Nov 2010
Interview
First I applied online at Homedepot.com then was followed up with a over the phone interview with corporate. Once that was taken care of, I came into the location that had a opening for a Department Supervisor and had my first one on one interview with a Assistant Manager. After that I was called in for one last interview with another Assistant manager. I was told I was accepted for the position and that a drug test was mandatory. Once that was cleared..I got the job!

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a co-worker who wasn't doing his/her fair share of the work. What did you do and what was the outcome?
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Nov 2011
Interview
Process is overly automated, and when you reach an impasse such as being able to make contact via computer with their Atlanta interview system to followup as per their instructions to schedule an interview manually, my only recourse was to call a local HR department at one of their stores to try and get a valid phone # I could call and talk to a human. The local person here was considerate, and I finally talked to someone in Atlanta who facilitated the phone interview. Same one I've done many times before with them. Interviewers are courteous; the system is cold. If you're not called back for a live local interview, consider yourself among the 100 or so others trying for the same position. Followup on a local basis gets you nowhere; try again! I was told they ran out of interview slots, but I would be contacted when one opened up...whatever that means. Still waiting.
