I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Show Low, AZ) in Jun 2009
Interview
I simply entered the store and went to the Sales Help Counter and asked "How do I apply for a Job"? At "that" time there was a peronel person / office. I was granted an interveiw on the spot. Then and now a person may apply on-line . A person may use a computer at the store to apply.

Question 1
Nothing Dificult - "Are you familliar with Home Depot, have you shopped here?" " If so, do you have experience relative to any of our departments ?" " What department most interests you?" This may not be an identicle quote. The personel Lady was simply trying to determine where I may "fit" the best .
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Denver, CO) in Jul 2009
Interview
The initial interview process can be frustrating as the communication can be inconsistent and unreliable for dates, times, and places. When you do get to the hiring portion you will be administered an online test that is composed of three major sections, primarily Leadership Acumen, Management Acumen, and Business Acumen. After that you are conducted to an interview that last roughly 30 - 45 minutes.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Nearly all questions will be a variant of, "Name a time or example when, such and such occurred...". Example: "Provide an example of when you had to manage two or more associates who did not get along, but the success of the assignment was incumbent upon cooperation of the entire team. How did you correct the quarreling associates? What specific actions/steps did you take to correct the problem? Were you successful in achieving cooperation? What was the outcome of the assignment?"
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Algonquin, IL) in May 2013
Interview
They called to reschedule my first interview with the regional manager. When I showed up for my next appointment with that manager, I was instead turned over to another manager in her department.who not only wasn't able to answer most of my questions and kept referring me back to the first manager but who also thought that I wouldn't notice him texting in his lap throughout my entire time in his office. I rescheduled with the first manager who asked that I meet her at the store. After getting to the store and waiting for a while I received a phone call saying that she could not make our appointment. On my fourth attempt we were finally able to sit down. We met for 1/2 hour and although I had all of the qualifications for the job that I was applying for, including many years of managerial experience, I never heard from her again.
