I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot
Interview
Hiring process is like most within the industry. There are many steps to completing the process starting with on-line application, phone interviews, and then to multiple one on one interviews with leaders from the Store and District level. Expect a fairly lengthy process. Keep in communication with your interviewers after the interview.

Question 1
Many of the questions are standardized. Ensure you know the business in which you are entering. Showcase your knowledge.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Feb 2012
Interview
You will be interviewed several times. The first one will be by the phone. You won't call them, they will call you. The first interview will be a background. If they like you, they will refer you to a store.
The second interview will be from an employee, usually from HR or management. They can be lenient to prospective employees, and will also ask about your background, and a few questions based on situations, and a 'What Would You Do' kind of fashion. Nothing to fret about, just a mild q&a.
The third interview will be from the Store Manager. The Store Manager can be a wild card, so be prepared. Sometimes, they can be polite and relaxed, like mine was. Other times, according to other associates from other stores, they can be hell bent and a tad bit over abrasive with a short temper tantrum equivalent to that of a spoiled child. They don't last long at one store, though. They will ask you about why you want to work at The Home Depot, so do your research thoroughly! Don't forget to show enthusiasm and cheerfulness.
