I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Sheffield, Angleterre) in Nov 2019
Interview
Applied on website and went through 1 interview with the manager two weeks later. Was asked very standard interview questions and the interview did not last longer than 10 to 15 minutes. Pretty much got the job on the spot
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Tesco (Cheltenham, Angleterre) in Apr 2022
Interview
I start off the interview by coming into the store at 22:30pm on a weekday. I announce myself to a random employee who heads into the backrooms to collect their manager.
The manager I was given wasn't the one I was due to meet. This wasn't a problem except they were very uninterested and looked bothered by having to give the interview.
The interview took place in the confidential room at the back of the shop, and the manager was called out to resolve an issue, leaving me alone in the room full of sensitive information for around 10 minutes.
After the interview, I'm informed that I'm to make a second trip to the shop in order to meet the actual manager and do an "induction".
I come in once again at 22:30pm, and I'm put on the confectionery isle for 30 minutes as a short showcase of my ability. I immediately use my previous experience in the same role to complete the task properly and efficiently. All despite the co-worker not being able to tell me which cage was returns or making any conversation.
After this, I'm led back to the manager, who informs me that I will receive a result on Monday. This came back as a rejection letter.
Overall, I regret applying for this position as it wasted my time for 2 evenings. I cannot give a positive review for this. I don't expect an apology or any further contact but I would like to advise any applicants to keep your expectations low.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Tesco (Newport, Newport, Wales) in Nov 2014
Interview
Applied for the position online. The job was for Night Replenishment, which obviously involves things such as stacking shelves and tidying the shop floor ready for opening the following morning. Once you submit your application online, they will contact you via phone asking if you would like to attend an interview in store. The interview is a 1:1 with the appropriate department manager and the personnel manager is also present. You are asked some questions regarding the role and the decision is made as to whether or not you have got the job. Everyone is really friendly and I didn't feel nervous once I was in the interview room (wreck before hand). Fairly painless process.
