I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Los Angeles, CA) in Apr 2014
Interview
I started as a sales floor team member and went through a total of three interviews. First one was with an ETL which is just a floor manager, second was with my store manager and the final interview was with the district manager. all Interviews were pretty standard, target as a company doesn't want robots working for them so they want to see your true personality. You must be able to speak about your strengths and opportunities. In general they want team leaders who are driven, have communications skills, and who aren't afraid to partner and reach out to their peers. Since I was a team member I was prepped for every interview, they basically held my hand through entire process and made sure I had the tools to pass.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions I remembered being asked were:
Tell me about a time you made a mistake, how did you handle it.
Tell me about a time you disagreed with a certain policy or leader how did you handle it.
Tell me about a hard time in your life how did you handle it.

Interview
I went through a round of three different interviews in one day. It was not a very comfortable setting and the staff did nothing to make you feel at ease. Interviews were conducted by young women that didn't look old enough to be interviewing for upper management positions. Very robotic and disappointing to say the least.

Interview
I talked to a target rep at a career fair. They asked me to sign up for an interview after talking to the rep for about 30 mins. The interview was the next day. I had 3 interviewers and they asked me behavioral questions.
