I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Paramus, NJ) in Oct 2012
Interview
The interview process is pretty much the standard one that most retail big box stores have, you take a few tests to see if you are "smart" enough to say the right things and not the wrong things, and when you are finished, someone sits with you to review your test results. If you pass, they send you to take a drug test & offer you a position. If you don't, you go home after they thank you for your time.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target (Orlando, FL) in Dec 2014
Interview
Easy because it was seasonal and they were hiring many people. Was interviewed by the overnight stocking manager. It was 1 on 1 in which he would ask a number of questions. There was an immediate follow-up interview with the HR representative for that branch. She was friendly and offered me the job on the spot.

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Target (Alhambra, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
First of all, when I walked into the interview room they asked me to fill out a form regarding my criminal background so be advised, at least at this location they still do ask.
The interview consisted of a series of "Describe a time when you..." problem-solving type of questions. They wanted specific examples from your work experience. I waited for about 15 minutes after the interview then was told my interview was over and I would hear back in 3-5 business days. 3 days later I received the "we're unable to offer you a position" email.
