I applied online. I interviewed at Subway (Paris) in Jul 2014
Interview
The manager called to offer an interview in the afternoon. I went to the restaurant and had the interview on a table in the restaurant. It lasted 15 minutes. It wasn't formal at all. We talked about what I was studying in school and why I needed the job (to save money for school). He was well dressed, but I was in casual clothing which didn't seem to bother hime one bit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do I want the job ? What do I think the position involves ? What makes a good employee for that position ? How long do I plan on staying ? What are the hours I plan on working ?
I interviewed at Subway (Barnsley, South West England, England)
Interview
I was sat down and asked questions about myself in a possible manner in the middle of the restaurant as people dined around me. I was then instructed to cut bread so they could see how well I could do.
Easy flow, face to face and they are quite patient with you. The manager are understanding if it's your first time and let you through the flow of the process
Very simple and straightforward. Normal questions like availability, have you worked in food service before, etc. I think it depends on location though since friends at other locations have had more substantive or less substantive interviews.
