Very simple and straightforward. Normal questions like availability, have you worked in food service before, etc. I think it depends on location though since friends at other locations have had more substantive or less substantive interviews.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Subway (Okeechobee, FL) in Apr 2013
Interview
I was taken into the back kitchen in the day of the "interview", and was told to make a customer's sandwich. That was my interview, and training all in one. Next was vegetable preparation. There was no formal interview, but i don't know if that will be the case for everyone who applies.

Question 1
"Where do you think this job will take you in 3 years"
Straightforward and professional with typical fast food interview questions. Friendly and easy to talk to interviewers. Reasonable length and in person made it more comfortable. Great experience and easy interview.
Was pretty average hospitality interview process, focus on customer service in a fast paced environment, how to deal with stress, team work/ collaboration, company values, and your past experience. and availability etc.
