I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Subway (Paxton, IL) in Jul 2011
Interview
I showed up for the interview on time and sat down with the manager in a booth in the restaurant. She asked me very basic questions like if I go to school and what kind of people skills I have. I was very prepared and I dressed in business casual. It defiantly felt like no matter what I said I would have gotten the job. She told me she would call me back the next Monday if I got the job. Monday came and went with no call so I got nervous that I didn't get the job. A few more days passed and on that Friday I was finally called back and I accepted the job offer. It was a little stressful since I needed a job, but I'm glad I that finally got an offer.
Very simple and straightforward. Normal questions like availability, have you worked in food service before, etc. I think it depends on location though since friends at other locations have had more substantive or less substantive interviews.
Straightforward and professional with typical fast food interview questions. Friendly and easy to talk to interviewers. Reasonable length and in person made it more comfortable. Great experience and easy interview.
Was pretty average hospitality interview process, focus on customer service in a fast paced environment, how to deal with stress, team work/ collaboration, company values, and your past experience. and availability etc.
