I applied online. I interviewed at Shell (Kuala Lumpur) in Sep 2022
Interview
The whole process take 2 days. I got an online assessment for three iq assessment and a personality test ( you can check out on YouTube for iq assessment). Got a score of 4x, 6x and 4x and the following day, my application is rejected.
The interview was quite simple and straight forward, and not as difficult as I thought it will be. However, was unsuccessfully to get an offer here. Need to practise even more for futher oppurtunity if I have given chance to work here.

Question 1
Mainly emphasized on S-T-A-R interview method and an average interview question.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Shell in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process consisted of a gamified IQ test, followed by an interview that you record yourself. Then I had to do two interviews, one was a phd presentation and one was a case study. Unfortunately during the process I said I preferred to work within 2 roles (software engineer and data engineer) but I was placed within a data scientist role. The data scientist role was basically just working on things that the AI team themselves felt was ''beneath them'' as explained by the line manager. The process overall from start of application to end took 2 months and at some times I felt that I was ghosted by the company since response times were often 3 weeks+ (especially during the IQ test and recorded interview stages).
I declined because the offer was far below market rate, especially for a position that preferred a PhD. Also there was no CLA coverage for this position, so there is a good chance in 1-2 years you actually earn less in terms of purchasing power with current inflation numbers... There was no negotiation possible with salary either which is extremely odd for a no CLA position. For a foreigner looking to live in Amsterdam, with the salary it would be extremely hard to find housing and even if you would it would be a paycheck to paycheck situation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There are no technical questions whatsoever. I held the PhD presentation about a software / data engineering project for two chemists..
I can recommend for the IQ test to just perform well, you might get screened for CV at this stage. In the pre recorded interview have a quality microphone + quality camera. For the case: spend at least 6-8 hours studying it. Ask yourself questions and scenarios that they could come up with about the case. Treat it like some sort of exam because that is pretty much the setup, you will be talking for one hour straight while you get a question every now and then.
