I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Sephora (New York, NY) in Mar 2016
Interview
Group interview first, very casual and friendly interview. Store manager was interpersonal and friendly. The opening was self introduction including a fun fact. She went over the responsibilities, training program, evaluation process, possible career path, types of employment in the store and a lot more. In the end she asked us which department we want to work at.

Interview
Interview was a group interview, only one other person came though. Questions were simple and we each took turns answering. (Name a time when...) & (describe yourself), and such. Got a phone interview a few days later and a confirmation email saying I got the job.

Interview
I put in application on Monday, turned in my resume on Friday and got called for the interview on Thursday. The interview was on a Sunday. It was a group interview so get to know everyone first thing we did was dance, the interviewer and another manager asked us whats our favorite dance. I said "twerk" i ddnt feel comfortable dancing so i ddnt, i think i shouldve danced to get them to like me more. Everyone else danced except for me!!! Then she asked us questions, it wasn't in specific order just whoever wanted to go first we t first. I think i shouldve spoke a bit more and bubblier, i do feel the interview was based more on personality/bubbliness than it is more on work ethic/handling customers. Which i dont believe is fair, i am a very nice and bubbly person!!! I think i was just nervous because the others where talking ao loud and so much i kinda fell into the background. I wish they wouldve asked more questions based on work/ professional/ traits. They were asking more personable questions. Sooooo i dont believe i got it. Just make sure when u go in, go in with confidence and a big smile and do whatever they told u to!
