It was fast, they barely asked about my beauty experience and mainly looked at the duration spent at my previous jobs. The hiring manager answered my emails very quickly and was very accommodating when I had to cancel and move the interview to another day.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Sephora (Las Vegas, NV) in May 2019
Interview
The interview was super easy and the girl was nice. However, at the end of it all she picks up my resume, looks at it for one second and tells me that she loves my personality and she loved all my answers to her questions but, because I didn't have 1 year of working at the same retail company (I had worked for a couple other retail companies each for less than a year due to moving a couple times and worked for one just under a year) her district manager wouldn't like that. Even though I had well over 1 year of retail experience combined and worked as a general manager for a new business that did sales (difficult job) for a couple years. I just don't get why they would call me in to interview and waste my time and theirs. If they had already looked at my resume and saw that I didn't have what they wanted, why waste all our time?
I applied online. I interviewed at Sephora (New York, NY)
Interview
The interview process can span between a month or two (in my case ) and also you do not know what to expect every round. Therefore, it is best to do more research on the role before the interviews.
