I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at SAP in Mar 2012
Interview
I know the economy is bad and employers rule, but these guys are unprofessional.
I get an email asking me if im interested for a phone interview. I said yes and gave the recruiter my availability. 2 weeks goes by, I hear nothing. I contacted the recruiter. Played phone tag for another week. I finally get hold of her. She said "lets just do the interview now". I reluctantly agreed even though i wasnt prepared. I passed. She said she liked my background and i should make it to the end without trouble. She sets me up with the next person for the next round of phone interviews. she told me too keep the week free in a month as thats when they do all their 1:1 interviews. 2 weeks passed, no call or contact from the 2nd round interviewer. I contacted them, and they told me they were still working on the schedule as they want to interview me. Then the week of the 1:1 interviews came. I lost faith in SAP in contacting me back. I emailed them again, no response this time. I guess they dont even have the courtesy to tell you they went with other ppl.
Waste 2 months playing phone tag with them only for them to move forward without me without telling me yet kept promising that they will move me on to the next step...

Recruiter contacted me via an online application through my university. He set me up with three phone interviews the following week. After passing that round, the recruiter set me up to fly to Philadelphia for a face-to-face interview. Interview was 45 min. panel interview with my hiring manager, recruiter, and one other person whom I had not interviewed with before. The whole process was very informative and well-organized.
