I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Riot Games in Jan 2022
Interview
It was a pretty long interview process that that dealt with craft knowledge in the earlier portion and culture fit for the larger later portion. I had:
- a screening call with a recruiter
- a call with the hiring manager
- a call with another employee (not the same team)
- four different calls with employees (2 craft, 2 values alignment)
- a final call with the main manager
The communication during the process was fine but I still had a lot of anxiety about the waiting. I never felt like the questions were particularly difficult, the hardest question was not even about craft for me but about my personal experience. You may struggle if you're not comfortable in terms of soft skills. The hardest part for me was really just wondering how I measured up against the actual values vs what I perceived in my research.
Every person I spoke with was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and helpful with any questions I had. I never felt nervous and a lot of the craft stuff felt like a conversation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- Describe a time you had a creative solution that failed, and what did you learn from it?
- Describe a time when you worked with someone who had difficulty expressing themselves and how did you deal with it?
- Describe the product process from vision to delivery. (sort of, don't remember the exact language)
I applied online. I interviewed at Riot Games (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2021
Interview
3-5 interviews and very long wait time between each one. Also took a month to tell me that I was rejected. A lot of questions were open ended and prefered to answer in the STAR method. All the interviewers where really nice tho.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Riot Games (Ciudad de Mexico) in Apr 2019
Interview
