I had an internal reference send in my resume and cover letter for a graphic/web designer position and I was contacted by a recruiter about 2 weeks later. The recruiter asked me a few standard questions and then informed me that they would set up a phone interview with one of the leads of the art department. The day of the phone interview, I was contacted by the recruiter that my interview needs to be postponed. I gave them my new availability and another phone interview was set up. 2 days later the recruiter contacted me that they need to reschedule again but with another person. This had to be rescheduled again as the person was not in the office the day of my interview.
Eventually I finally had an interview that was not cancelled and they called me 20 minutes late. The interview was pretty standard with questions related to web and UI. Interview went ok and I was then instructed that I would receive a paid art test in a few days. I had not received any word the day I was supposed to receive the test so I emailed the recruiter about it. The next day I received a response that the interviewer decided to not pursue me any further as they are looking for someone more senior/management level. I was applying for the standard mid level graphic/web designer position, not for the senior position that was also available.
Overall, I was pretty frustrated with the process as they were not organized at all and I decided not to pursue conversations about the mid level position I applied to instead of the senior one they decided to interview me for.
