I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Qualcomm (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2011
Interview
Initial phone screen - 1 round
Called in for onsite interview after 2 weeks
6 technical one-one interviews, each 45 mins, one lunch interview
1 HR interview at the end
HR is very casual, replied after several follow up (after 2 months)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Resume based, past projects
2. Random variables/Probability questions
3. Basic LTE/CDMA questions
4. Wireless Protocols questions
5. Data Structures Questions - Sorting and Searching
6. Basic Testing questions, testplan creation criteria, develop test cases based on given scenario
7. DSP/Image Processing questions (Gamma curves)
8. Perl scripting - Hash/etc
9. C questions - reverse a string, etc.
Initial screening had a short coding test as well as discussion. Then I had 3 technical interviews from different areas of expertise. Did not get to the HR round.
There was no show on one interview. The scheduler did not respond to any of my emails but suddenly rescheduled after a week. It looks like the interviewer cannot contact interviewees without joining the call first.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
OS, embedded systems, data structures, testing exercises
Fairly simple. Asking about previous experiences and familiarity with different computing languages. Level of difficulty for the coding interview is medium and easy in lc. But does require you to understand some knowledge on operating systems.

Interview
Initial screening question: 45 minute algorithm, final round with 5 people - 4 technical, 1 HR. Everyone except the HR was rude, they were all Indians. Very mean spirited interview
