I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Paychex in Mar 2017
Interview
Coding Challenge followed by onsite interview.
First round was with HR, just a formal introductory round after which he sent me a coding challenge. Had a call with HR again to explain the approach for my solutions and then I was invited for onsite interviews.
Onsite interview was fairly simple. I was asked to write a code on paper with correct syntax. Simple Hashmap related question. Also had an interview with two other members who just asked my previous project experience and some basic conceptual questions.

Two rounds, both on site. Had a good experience. Corporate office in Rochester area, for software development role. All around good and pretty quick turnaround. Recommended the company. They are well organized.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Paychex (Rochester, NY) in Jan 2018
Interview
Lengthy and tedious to say the least. But fruitful. I enjoyed the questions as they tested my skills to the core. It is something that I would recommend to anyone who wants to practice interview.
