I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex (New York, NY) in Nov 2016
Interview
Initial interview with recruiter who basically walked through my resume. This was followed by a brief phone interview with the vice president. This was again more of a background validation than an typical interview. Next was a phone interview the sales director. This was a typical interview discussing my background, the position and what they needed and expected. I was then flown to LA to meet with the VP, followed by a trip to New York to meet with the director.

Their biggest question is how much of a hard core sales person you are, and many integrity questions because of the nature of their revenue source.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paychex (Kennesaw, GA) in Nov 2012
Interview
It was very short and fairly easy. They were very nice. They wanted to know what my goals were in life and if I could see myself making Paychex a permanent career choice if so, I would be will to move up in the company. They wanted to know if I had any experience in the admin department i was applying for. Then they showed me around the office to meet everyone. I also went and met all of the admin department and was allowed to sit and watch then do there daily routine. Overall very friendly and welcoming.
