I applied online. I interviewed at Paychex (High Point, NC) in Aug 2017
Interview
I received a call from a wonderful recruiter who helped me through every step of the process. I completed an online interview screening, an online assessment, two in-person interviews, as well as a day where I completed a ride along with a current sales rep to ensure that I was familiar with the job expectations and ready for the challenge. The final interview included a "value prop" presentation where I had to research and put together a product presentation for a client. The managers challenged and encouraged me to succeed.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain your work ethic through high school, college, and grad school. How does this show who you are as an individual, and how will this carry over into your drive as a sales rep?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Paychex in Feb 2017
Interview
My initial interactions with the company were all professional and included an online assessment, a pre-recorded web interview, and three phone interviews.
What both surprised and disappointed me was Paychex' complete and utter lack of follow up communication. I am currently employed and had to make arrangements to take time off to be available for the interviews and assessments. No one at Paychex' had the professional courtesy to ever contact me when the position was filled.
I hear this is now a very common problem with a large number of companies. A company like Paychex that advises other companies on their human resource policies should know better and lead by example.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Paychex (Auburn, ME) in Oct 2015
Interview
Strange very strange. They start with a online forum where you tap yourself like you are auditioning for some lead role. Then they do a phone interview with basic question. Followed by a live in person interview. Where they fill you with only the good stuff. They then partner you with a job preview where then you are filled with more BS.
