Interview
I went to an in-person interview, and then I had to go to a trial run and spend a day at a restaurant. That would have been fine, but it was probably the worst interview experience in my 20 year career. I had to drive to a restaurant over 90 miles away as my local restaurant was not yet open. The General Manager I shadowed was awful. They told me she was a real "people person", but if I ever spoke to my employees as she spoke to me, I would never keep anyone around. She was rude, demanding, and just all around awful. If this is the type of manager the company wants, then I would stay very far away.
We would like to thank you for taking the time to interview as a General Manager at Panda Express. We apologize your candidate interview experience was anything short of exceptional.
At Panda, we are committed to a ‘no best, only better’ lifestyle. Your feedback allows us to pinpoint areas where we can improve, and we will be forwarding your concerns over to our HR and training teams to assess how to elevate the overall experience for our candidates.

Interview
Extremely direct and challenging. They explore who you are and how you understand the world around you. They also understand that who you are as a person can be molded into something you never thought possible. They see the potential you may not.
