Initially contacted by employer via email (my website). Multiple calls later, signing of confidentiality agreements, and preparing a formal proposal, I was finally scheduled for an interview. Things were pretty hectic that day, as the people I was supposed to see were 'putting out fires' and not available. Be prepared, very corporate and need to pass several levels of security.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Panasonic in Feb 2012
Interview
It was a two round interview, first round was a panel interview where questions were mainly asked from the projects done so far. And the second round was a GD, based on which the field of internship was decided.

Sent application via email. Got a call from HR. Technical interview with 3 people. Questions were deeply technical. Lot of questions from about post graduate thesis. Generally ok, but interviewers seemed to have a slightly mocking tone. The team was highly knowledgeable. One person was especially friendly.

Question 1
Questions about video encoding. Not very difficult, but was unexpected for me.
