It was a nice experience, they came for hiring to our college campus, it was virtual, written test followed by 2 technical interview and 1 hr interview.
Written test was maily on coding and cloud related questions
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Oracle (New York, NY) in Apr 2017
Interview
Interview was good. Not too difficult and everyone was nice. Oracle is a good place to work if you're older. There are benefits of working at Oracle. 30 word minimum.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Oracle (Santa Clara, CA)
Interview
They interrogate references, and unauthorized references too. They only make a salary offer after interview and reference check. They offer above market rate for ivy league fresh grads, but only half as much for top talent and industry experts. The hiring manager told me that I was the best candidate he has seen in many years, then after everything, instead of salary negotiation cycles they stop communication (when you decline the 1/2 market rate offer and ask for more). This is mainly the fault of their extremist HR department that does not value skills, talent and expertise at all, and has full power over all engineering managers. Note, I got a proper market rate offer from another company few months later, so my market rate knowledge was accurate. ~$200k total comp instead of ~100k.

Question 1
Accomplishments and how I solve typical complex real life engineering problems. Seems fair.
