Unfortunately, the process was; in my opinion, a waste of time. I was contacted by the recruiter through email. The email correspondance was unprofessional and I had to confirm that she was a real NBC recruiter or a scam (grammer, spelling, etc.). I received a call from the recruiter an hour and a half earlier then our scheduled phone interview.
The interviewer seemed to not even listen to my responses to the questions she was asking me. She seemed very uninterested and was just trying to meet the minimum of interviews she had to do. She repeated a question that I already answered twice previously.
Was unable to correctly answer the questions I had for her. I was also shocked on the salary she provided me, lack of relocation support, and zero rotational opportunities within the finance organization. Made me very disinterested towards the company right away.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
My interview was in the early evening which I was kind of hesitant on as my interviewers may have been restless and eager to finish the day, however, I still agreed to the interview. Sadly my prediction came true, the direct manager who would oversee all my work seemed to be in a dull and unmotivated mood. The interviewer's non-verbal cues were very rude and unprofessional. I got to meet the team I would work with and ask them any questions I had which was nice but wrapped up rather early as I only have a limited amount of questions I could possibly ask without having experienced the job. At the very end of the interview, the hiring manager suggested that I find a headhunter and pursue more work experience even though the role was entry level and I was just as qualified as the previous hire's I spoke to. Overall a very poor experience, hiring manager gave rude remarks regarding my internship and work experiences.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why didn't you work longer at your internship?
Why aren't you working for a corporation right now?
How would you deal with a hard vendor/customer?
What excel experience do you have?
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at NBCUniversal (Stamford, CT) in Apr 2016
Interview
Very straightforward. A few typical questions, otherwise a 'get to know you' type interview. Casual conversation more than a question and answer session. The questions that were asked were very basic interview questions- why this position, describe yourself, elaborate on your resume & qualifications. Interviewer was incredibly friendly and so extremely knowledgable on company and position. Great experience.
