I applied through college or university. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Microsoft (Pittsburgh, PA) in Oct 2013
Interview
The interview was ok and the interviewer was very nice. Just I didn't expect he would ask some question not related to writing codes. So, a bit un-prepared at the beginning. Then everything went fine. The interviewer was quite warm and encouraging and nice. And as he was a former graduate from my school, he knew the courses I talked about and had a good idea of what I have learnt in the school.

Interviewed at Microsoft but I did not get an offer. Team was nice and there were free drinks and some snacks on site which was a plus. I would love to apply and interview again!
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Redmond, WA)
Interview
Typical behavioral interview process. STAR format style interview questions. Why do you want to work at Microsoft, tell me about a time questions, greatest strengths, greatest weaknesses. Consisted of a recruiter screening, and three back to back interviews with senior and principal PMs.
I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft (Belgrade) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was a level II and it was a great chat with the interviewer. More questions about my past experience, how I handled new features, change of requirements and my thoughts about AI replacing or writing code.
