I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Aug 2025
Interview
Past Work Screen Interview with a product designer at Meta.
The question was asked post-presentation. Along with 1 other question and they asked me if I had any questions. The interview was meant for about 45minutes in total, with 30 min for presentation and 15 min for question and answer discussions

Question 1
How did you tactically deal with engineers in your design process?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Aug 2025
Interview
The process:
I was invited to present a portfolio of case studies to a product design interviewer at Meta. While the scheduling and setup were smooth, the interview experience itself was very disappointing.
Pros:
– The recruiter was responsive and kept me informed throughout the scheduling process.
– I was able to present a few case studies with shipped work and a functional prototype.
Cons:
– The interviewer was unnecessarily rude and aggressive throughout the session, interrupting multiple times in a way that seemed intentionally disruptive.
– I was cut off during my presentation under the pretense of asking questions, which ultimately prevented me from finishing the final slide on my key reflections and learnings.
– There was no constructive feedback after the process, and I was left with the impression that the experience was dismissive rather than collaborative.
– The tone and energy did not reflect Meta’s stated values around openness or respect.
Advice to Meta:
Candidates invest time, effort, and vulnerability into these interviews. Even if the outcome isn’t a fit, the experience should be respectful, especially when interviewing for a role that relies on empathy, communication, and collaboration.

Question 1
How do you measure customer satisfaction in your team once the feature has been shipped?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta in Apr 2025
Interview
Over the course of three separate days, I went through a 45-minute past work presentation, a 45-minute app critique, a 45-minute whiteboard challenge, and a 30-minute behavioral interview. The interviewers were friendly and supportive, often helping by asking clarifying questions. Possibly because it was a new grad position.

Question 1
One of the behavioral questions was, "How did you handle overall feedback (not just for design)?"
