Interview
Incredible Interview Experience – Transparent, Supportive, and Exciting Environment
The interview process was thoughtful, efficient, and well-aligned with the role’s expectations. Here's how it went:
1. Introductory Recruiter Call:
A warm and informative introduction to the company, the team structure, and an overview of the interview process.
2. Second Round – Panel Interview:
A panel with two senior engineers, focused on my past experience, architectural decisions, and how I approached real-world technical challenges. The questions were in-depth but conversational, aiming to understand how I solve problems and contribute in a team setting.
3. Third Round – Technical (React-focused):
A technical deep dive centered around React. This included live coding exercises and discussion around component design, state management, and performance optimization, closely tied to my practical experience.
4. Final Round – Leadership Interview:
A strategic conversation with a senior director. It focused on engineering culture, long-term team fit, and how I align with the company’s mission of delivering scalable, human-centered tech solutions. Topics like CI/CD, testing practices, and agile workflows came up here as well.
Pros:
1. Everyone I interacted with, from recruiters to engineers and directors, was welcoming and thoughtful.
2. The interview process was structured, efficient, and focused not only on technical skills but also on values and collaboration.
3. Transparency about role expectations and next steps throughout the process.
Cons:
The only minor downside was a bit of waiting between some interview stages, but the communication made up for it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me how I’d handle a situation where a product feature I strongly believed in was deprioritized by leadership. It stood out because it tested not just my technical judgment but how I balance ownership with alignment across teams.

Interview
(interviewed in 2024) Initial interview with the hiring manager went well, I'd interviewed with him for another role previously and it was a pleasure once again. Panel interview was okay however one member of the panel was rude which went unchecked by the rest of the team. With all transparency I experienced misogynior from one of the panelists questioning my cv and insinuating I was being misleading despite all the information regarding the role I had and what the company did being on my CV?!. It was not the gotcha moment he thought it was. This was at the start of the interview and despite that ,I answered each question well (each answer garnered a "good answer") but I didn't get through the next stage. It did take 3 weeks for them to give me an answer despite me consistently reaching out. It seems to be a pattern as for a previous role or took 8 weeks to hear back.
I won't be applying to another role at medidata based on that panel interview. I had heard great things previously.

Interview
There are three rounds of interview. First round with HR, second with hiring manager and final round with HOD. The process was smooth and casual. Head of Finance was a pleasant person. Questions were simple and manageable. Each round of interview was around 30-45 minutes.
