The hiring process at Magna International takes an average of 30 days when considering 2 user submitted interviews across all job titles. Candidates applying for Junior Key Account Manager had the quickest hiring process (on average 30 days), whereas Junior Key Account Manager roles had the slowest hiring process (on average 30 days).
This was the strangest process I’ve ever been a part of. I was reached out to by a recruiter that saw my resume on a job board and asked to fill out a “self interview” which took about 30 minutes to complete online. I then received a canned email with a salutation of Mr/Miss/Ms/Mrs requesting a phone or email interview and giving me one date and time. I received the phone call and the lady was very straightforward: “this is an interview, do you understand?”, “keep your answers brief as we don’t have much time.” She proceeded to ask me 3-4 questions and after 9 minutes she offered me the job. I received an offer letter via email later that day with no information about what division of Magna I would be working for, who the team is, any benefits information. So I responded with these questions and was ghosted. THIS WAS THE STRANGEST PROCESS OF MY LIFE. I came in here to see if this is happening to anyone else, because if this is how they are trying to get employees - good luck!

Second interview with trade manager, plant manager, and hr. Somewhat formal.
Since I had a lot of experience in the field already, and they were looking for an electrician for a long time, it came very easy to me.
