Here I met with two people, the first being an assistant manager. She had a wonderful personality, was honest, asked many high-value questions about my experience and asked if I had knowledge about the brand. It was more of what felt like a chat rather than an interview, which I enjoyed because it made me feel more comfortable.
The Store Director ( fancy name for store manager ) met with me next and I have to say that I was let down by her interviewing skills. Her questions were rather vague, she had not even read my resume, and I felt she was on the edge of unprofessional as she actually laughed at my answer to one of her questions. When I had called the next day to thank her for the interview she did not return my phone call and decided to send me an email instead.
I would have thought Louis Vuitton's management was trained to interview in a detailed and professional manner ; it was clear that both women whom I interviewed with were not on the same page. As someone who has experience in luxury retail I left the interview feeling un-fullfilled and disappointed.
If you are interviewing with this LV be sure to brush up on your knowledge about the company, i.e heritage, collections and a little about the creative director helps :)
