First, they asked for applications and then they have shortlisted from the applications. In the technical interview, the first question that they ask me is "Tell me something about yourself". Then they grill me on my internship. And the last question they ask me is " You are a core finance guy, then why you want to come in IT company?"

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Infosys (Pune) in Jul 2010
Interview
My recruitment process was very slow to say the least. I had applied for Finacle e-Banking functional team in April 2010, my interviews were conducted in July and I got the offer in October. There were two rounds of interviews, one by future reporting manager and one by the team lead. First interview was very in-depth with questions ranging from "what is an account" to "what can be done to improve your e-banking experience". It lasted for 75 minutes. The second interview was very relaxed and the interviewer focused more on HR aspects. Post the interviews the HR called me with the offer. The salary is always non-negotiable here, so I had to accept it as it was.
