I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at HubSpot
Interview
Very bad impression, clearly the interviewer hates her job.
The interviewer seemed to be in a rush to ask me questions she was reading on her screen and right down the answers. I felt like a number she had to make on her daily tasks instead of human interested in working for this company.
Anything I said to create a connection was completely ignored, to be honest ChatGPT has more empathy than her. Apparently she's really tired of this job and lost her patience long ago.
It mached with the reviews I've been reading on the company, which are very negative about the culture and stress of the employees. The girl interviewing was a huge red flag to what I could be getting in, which is a terrible environment.
Whenever I wanted to clarify a question she was asking, you could see on her face she wanted to ki11 herself by how much she hates this job.
I told her I wasn't interested after she told me the salary, which is less than half of what I do now. But even if it wasn't the case, I don't want to work for Hubspot anytime soon.
Phone Screen with Recruiter (off-camera)
Interview with Manager (mock disco)
Interview with another Manager (mock solution presentation)
Interview with your Sales Director (pretty easy, be human, we talked about fishing)
The two managers you get can make or break you getting in as some are tougher than others.
Multiple meetings and material to review for your interview stages. Be prepared to take 5 hours out of your work day to join the interview prep calls and meetings. Total time dedicated to interviews and preparation time roughly 10 hours.

Super friendly people. Direct and they genuinely believe in adding strong people to their team. I had 2 rounds after which I was rejected.
It’s definitely a nice company to be at. They also encourage to keep trying.
