I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Sydney) in Oct 2018
Interview
I applied through HubSpot website. Took them more than a week to come back to me and scheduled the phone screening. Then it took another week to lock the date.
I contacted by a recruiter based out of the Singapore office. I must say the whole process was like talking to a robot with minimum interaction as the interview questions were entirely reading out from the scripts. When I asked some general questions like how many sales rep are there in the Sydney office and what are the caeer progression opportunities like in HubSpot, I was not convinced by the response.
A week later I received the feedback saying I fell short for the role.
Hi there - our teams invest a lot of time ensuring the interview processes are structured and comprehensive - a byproduct of that is that we're very specific in the questions we ask in interviews across the board to ensure we're objectively assessing for skills and attributes. While we spend a lot of time training our interviewers to ensure we don't lose the human element, it sounds like you might have lost that in your experience. This is good feedback that I'll take to our team, and while I'm sorry you didn't get the outcome you hoped for, I appreciate you taking time to write a review and for giving us such specific feedback.
Best,
Becky
