Took almost 1 month, very smooth & pleasant. Had 5 rounds starting with recruiter, general screening & a panel along with hiring manager. All interviews were remote. Recruiter really helped with all the details & prep.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Google (Bengaluru) in Aug 2024
Interview
Overall great interview process, they always prep the candidate so it helps in coming to the interview with the right mindset.
Intro call with HR > 4 interview rounds focusing on problem solving, program management, culture and domain knowledge (like which function you program
managed)
They take way too much time to give updates between interview stages
First round with the recruiter, then on to the first interview with the hiring manager - there's a supposed format for the Google interview process but they did not follow this and caught me off guard - I'd suggest preparing for all the interview types and questions rather than trusting the process that the recruiter will outline, as the interviewers tend to just ask whatever they see fit.
