I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Google in Jul 2024
Interview
Was given three Data Structure Questions regarding hash maps, arrays and binary trees. Also prior to this was given 1 phone call interview with the hiring manager that was the main point of contact throughout the process.

Question 1
All the questions were generally asking about given a specific data structure, solve for x and y item.
it was cool they were super chill and asked me really easy questions. one of the better intereviewers that ive had in a while. Overall had a very very pleasant time and would intereview again
The initial contact and phone screening were smooth, but the technical interviews were notably challenging, focusing more on intricate brain teasers than practical coding skills. Communication during the process lacked clarity, leaving me feeling disoriented and demoralized. The feedback received, though brief, lacked specificity for improvement. While I respect Google's rigorous standards, I believe a more transparent and supportive approach to the technical interviews would enhance the candidate experience and provide clearer insights into areas for development.
