I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GSK (Cambridge, East of England, England) in Aug 2013
Interview
1 interview of 3 rounds
1st round - presentation for 10 minutes and then questions on my presentation for 30 minutes.
2nd round - technical interview for an hour. Most questions are the nature of the job.
3rd round - HR interview for an hour.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
First two rounds were very job specific and were very technical, scientific questions.
HR interview was a little more difficult as I had to explain scenarios (stories) for lots of different questions and sometimes I couldn't think of a different story to the one I had already given.
Questions like - Why GSK? Scenario where you showed leadership/teamwork? Scenario where you worked through a conflict? etc etc
The first round was a call with the recruiter. The second round was a group interview over zoom. The last round was onsite. Each step took one month to go to the next round. Because the process was so lengthy, I ended up accepting another offer before the last round.

Question 1
The group interview consisted of back to back technical questions.
Hirevue interview, with a set of questions to prerecord answers to, such as team work and employment history, it wasn’t the nicest process to go through as there was little feedback or any ability to speak to a real person

Tell us about a time you faced a challenge in the workplace
We’re sorry to hear about your interview experience. We’re always working to improve our processes, and your feedback will help us make better improvements.
Straightforward, nice interview panel and competent HR.
Normal big Pharma interview schedule with presentation and 1:2 interviews. Competent group with good conversation and discussion. No complaints from the interview process, the hiring manager, or the interview team.
