I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at FedEx (Olive Branch, MS) in Dec 2016
Interview
Extremely quick interview, less than 10 minutes. I was directed into interviewers office, met him, sat down, and it almost seemed like he just wanted to see that I was a normal looking guy and not a crazy person. He asked me how I found this job listing. What my previous job employment was. He explained the different hours/shifts available, asked me a few simple questions about my preference for hours and shift. No baggy clothes, etc.... And made it perfectly clear this job is very labor intensive. Asked me if I had questions, and then the interview was over, will call me in 2 to 4 days after background check is complete.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx (Memphis, TN) in Aug 2014
Interview
I filled out an online application and was given a time and place to complete the process. About 60-80 people showed up to take the drug test and give information for background check. If you can pass a urinalysis and don't have a felony, you get the job. They don't set the bar very high for new hires and the work environment reflects just that.
