I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at FedEx (Olive Branch, MS) in Sep 2018
Interview
Applied on FedEx Ground website. About a week later I got a phone call to schedule an interview. During the interview, they may get to know you a little. Then, they’ll start with the BAR format (Background, Action, Result) for the actual interview. I honestly thought I did a poor job answering but did receive an offer a week later.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Think about a time where you had a disagreement with a coworker. How did you handle it in the workplace? Must answer in the BAR format.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx

BAR interview Background Action Results, this type of interview I've only seen at FedEx Ground. The Operation Administrator is a heavily electronic related job. Make sure you let them k ow you are good with programs and computers
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FedEx (Snetterton, England) in Jan 2018
Interview
FedEx used a recruitment agency to find candidates for this vacancy. They openly admit that they don't like using them because they are very expensive, but recruiting themselves is far too time-consuming. I'm not keen on recruitment agencies due to the very bad reputation many of them have where I live, so this tainted FedEx's reputation for me. However, I was invited to an interview with one of the managers.
When I arrived, the first thing the manager said to me was "well this isn't what I was expecting. I was expecting someone foreign" due to my last name not being English. This immediately made me feel uncomfortable and this is not an appropriate thing to say in a professional environment.
The interview was very relaxed. The manager asked informal questions about my work history. He didn't seem too bothered about my educational background - maybe because I am overqualified for that role which only needs GCSEs (I have a degree).
The manager showed me around the site, introduced me to staff and showed me the CCTV set up.
It took a while for the agency to communicate the result of the interview and I was rejected for the job because my personality 'wouldn't suit that of the drivers'. I don't know how the manager can tell my true personality after meeting me for 45 minutes, but it's their loss!
£8.20 per hour is a very low wage for this type of job in my opinion and I wouldn't have accepted an offer anyway.
