I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FedEx Freight (Las Vegas, NV) in May 2014
Interview
Extensive paperwork, took about 2 weeks from interview to actually starting work. Background checks, drug testing, Fedex is very thorough in who they hire. Now all applications are done online, and HR picks the best based on qualifications and sends them to the hiring manager for review. There is no more “hey I know a good worker you can hire” everything is done online
I applied online. I interviewed at FedEx Freight (New York, NY) in Aug 2018
Interview
Recently interviewed on 8/16/18. Overall the interview itself was a good experience. I was interviewed by the operation manager 1:1. He asked roughly around 10-12 questions that were slightly difficult but not too difficult because I have management experience. The questions were basically scenario and give me an example type questions. The interview lasted roughly 2 hours total with a little small talk in between the interview questions which is why the process lasted a little longer than expected. I was told that approximately 15 candidates had applied and that he had more interviews the following day. He also stated that I would know the following week if I got the job or not. I will give an update once I hear back from the manager.
