I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Oct 2021
Interview
I applied online and got an invite for a phone interview that same day. I also got invited for the assessment right away. Did the phone interview on a Friday, did the assessment that Sunday, The assessment was a little over two hours and it wasn’t too bad, it was mostly weighing your ability to think critically and follow directions. The next day I was invited to the final interview, which was virtual because of COVID. They were also considering me for EUT, so I did a 10 minute presentation during my interview which was probably the part I prepped most for. The rest was pretty standard, the case study wasn’t difficult. I feel like it’s there more to weigh what your capabilities are and you can’t really fail it if you put in effort. The rest of the virtual interview was just telling me about the job (if you’re invited to the final interview, you’re very likely to get the offer.) I got an offer two weeks later, and it only took that long because they wanted to speak with one of my former supervisors who they had difficulty reaching. The whole process took about four weeks, which was great! They were always super responsive and kind. I actually really enjoyed the interview process. I thought it was applicable to the job I applied for and I truly felt like they were considering me for my skills and experiences.
There was a series of exams, and then a three hour long zoom with various types of interviews. There were also informational interviews during this time, where I met various people in the roles and got to hear from them.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Epic in Jun 2026
Interview
Had approximately three hours, involving first a walkthrough of one of their applications, then an explanation of the role by a quality manager, then a "case study" which was really just scenario questions mostly, and finally talking with a recruiter who talked mostly through logistics with a couple of more behaviorial and strange questions.
There were multiple steps to the interview, including an assessment of a website and a test to see how you respond to stressful situations and manage your time. During the actual interview part, they focused on asking about your strengths and weaknesses.
