I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ecolab (Naperville, IL) in Apr 2018
Interview
I applied for the job about 3-4 weeks ago. Over a week ago I had the telephone interview. I thought I did a good job how I answered questions. the person conducting my phone interview seemed impressed, however I felt like I rushed. Interview lasted 15 minuets. She told me they would get back to me and let me know if I am selected for the in person interview. After not hearing anything for days I realized I wasn’t going forward. I don’t understand why companies conduct phone screenings nowadays. In my opinion I feel that phone screenings are a waste of time and that a inperson interview is more beneficial. Over 10 years ago there was no such thing as phone interviews because if a potential employer liked your application/resume you be called in for a in person interview. If they weren’t going to except me they should have emailed me as soon as possible and explained the reasons why I wasn’t selected at all. When you receive a email of why you weren’t selected for the job or why you weren’t moved to next step of the interview the companies just pretty much say we regret to inform you that you weren’t selected and other mumble jumble.
