I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DriveTime Automotive Group (Tempe, AZ) in Jan 2018
Interview
About an hour, interviewers were very down to earth. Showed you around the office and then asked the typical experience questions such about data types, loops and functions. A little white board work but nothing too complicated.

Interview
Casual feeling, though a bit long.
I initially applied for the Internet Sales Specialist position. You get contacted by one of their HR/recruiting reps and that will be your rep through your whole pre hire process, you will be able to call or email them every step of the way. They go through a series of questions with you almost like a pre-interview when you receive the first phone call. My rep said I may be a better fit for a different role, to which I agreed so we set up an interview for that role instead. My first interview was scheduled, then 2 hours later rescheduled for a later date.
You sit down in a meeting room with 2 interviewers and they ask some pretty basic questions that you SHOULD be able to answer. That lasted about 30 minutes, then I was moved to a different part of the building where I was sat down with 2 more interviewers and asked pretty similar questions. Another 30-40 minutes.
I got a call the very next day saying all the interviewers thought I would be a better fit in a different department and I was asked if I would want to interview for that position instead. I agreed to go through the process again for a more suiting position.
Second interview was just like my first one, just in a neighboring building. Although the one difference was a senior level manager stepped into the room in the middle of the interview and drilled me with some harder questions.
I was contacted early the very next morning to move on with the position.
The hiring process itself is lengthy even after the interviews - it took them an entire 2 weeks to run the drug and background/employment verification screen which in my opinion is very slow.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We are happy to see that this process was worthwhile for you. Welcome to the Company!
